Hi there, back again to blog. 1st of all, Happy Chinese New Year to all of you back in Singapore!! Guess most of you must have enjoy pretty much suring the festive season (which is still on going) ba. All the good food and accompany of friends... and most of all RED PACKETS!! I always like CNY alot. Cos this is the time that I'm able to meet up with all my cousins, uncles and aunties, updaitng each other of our lives. Too bad, this year is different. Can't spend it at my homeland. 1st day of CNY, went to AO's house to eat and watch DVD. After that went to watch Ghost Rider at The Mall Cinema. I would say the show is average in rating, far from what I'm expecting. Anyway, the cinema is full of ppl, as if the show is free for all. After Movie, went for dinner with my platoon mates at a Chinese restaurant. Order alot of stuff and best of all, they sell 'Ba Guai'. Best of all, its 100% PORK!!! haha, bought one packet to bring back camp to eat. After that went to WO Raymond house which is at the High Commission. The place is really huge and grand I would say. Looks like a big mansion to me. Sit around there for a while watch Dvd again then went bac kto camp. Second day went to Log O house. We are the 1st to arrived. There isn't alot fo ppl coming to his place cos half of them have booked out to go Gadong. Same thing, eat and watch DVD. His house got one mini farm with chickens, rabbits. Quite cute. Will post up the pictures once i got it from Adam. Also I've recieved the parcel that you all have sent. Many thanks to you all for the goodies, Book from Sher and also the pictures and book marks from Jonathan and Richard's family. Felt really touched and am glad that all of you are doing well. Thats it for now. Will update more when free.

Time really flies, Chinese New year will be coming in just a week's time. This will be my 1st CNY to be celebrated oversea without my family members and close friends. There isn't any mood of CNY here in Brunei. May be is because i'm too used in spending the festival in Singapore that I didn't feel anything here at all. This year CNY, has been busy in preparing the decorations in my camp that I have no much time to rest at all. Today again being tasked with more responsibilities in the decorations. Haiz... what can I say about it... two words: Suck Thumb. Now I don't want to think about other things, just want to complete the task ASAP. Feeling rather moody now. Thankfully, my platoon mates, David & Adam brought back 'ba guai' from Malaysia. At least still can have a taste of the New year delicacies... Just now received a call from Jonathan. Felt quite suprised cos he is currently in BMT so normally won't call out one. Anyway, felt better after chatting with him , thought its just a short 15 mins conversation. Heard from him that the church has send me a parcel with a lot of stuff. Think should be able to receive it by friday. Can't wait to see whats in the parcel. Just want to say a big thank you to you guys and gals for the things that you send over. Guess thats it for now. got to go now will blog when free.

This week is a HELL week for many of us here.... Been getting alot of scoldings from our superiors. From the high ranking to our detachment in charge, all firing their "rounds" at us, the ones that are defenceless. Security has been tightened up because of our attitude in the particular area. Turning out, drills, staff parade have once again become everyone's routine whenever we are on duty. Now everyone is on high alert, just in case anything goes wrong. Recently, We are quite busy with the CNY Decorations as CNY is just two weeks away. Everyone in the detachment is rushing out all the decorations and to put them up asap. However, sometimes, we still will get scolding for NOTHING. When we work for a few hours non stop and are trying to catch our breathe, he will walk in and say we are slacking, not doing our work. This really makes all of us unhappy, and added to the unpleasant mood here. Everyone is trying to get things done, but all we get is scolding and scolding. Whats the point of getting all these done when our effort is not appreciate at all!! I'm not trying to ask for any recognition but all I'm asking is more understanding and the higher ranking ones to think for their men not just behave selfishly just to cover their ass. Well, I think they will never understand how we, the lower ranking one feels, cos they are all so far from us that they kinda lost touch with us. Sorry if I've been whining alot here, do bear with me for that. Thanks for all the tagging from you friends out there. It has somehow reminded me that I still got friends who is in Singapore, keeping in touch with me. How I wish i could end my tour here and go back to S'pore, forget about the huge allowance and just be in Singapore. Guess thats not possible. Lastly, I would like to send my greeting to Ms Eunice: HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! Hope you enjoy yourelf during the celebration. |
